Dandenongs Garden

If you are looking for a beautiful way to spend your weekend, heading to the Dandenongs in Melbourne is stunning and so close to the city (about 45 minutes)
These photos were taken last weekend at Cloudehill - an amazing 16 acre garden near Olinda
The garden is full of hydrangeas (my favourite), beech trees, hedges, ponds and fountains
There were plenty of stairs & steps - perfect for a certain little man who loves to climb!

Apparently you can stay on site at Woolrich Retreat which is set in the gardens - I think it would be great in the middle of winter...

::Weekend in the country::

Most weekends, you'll find us driving off first thing in the morning to get out of the city...
A couple of weekends ago, we headed to a nursery called Frogmores near Trentham
It is such a great nursery, and set into this beautiful valley with thick bush on each side
Lachie loved all of the plants (and so did we at about $8 each!), and Brent got a few more plants to fill up his already very full garden...

Beach

Last weekend was such beautiful weather we decided to head to the beach, knowing full-well that swimming weather could soon be over (and I definitely need heat to get me in the water!)

We headed down to the Mornington Peninsula, to a little secluded beach off a side-track. It's such a beautiful spot & a great way to waste a day.
